A Message for the new season…

Last year there was a strong seasonal theme of “REFRESHING”… the Lord is refreshing His people. In this new season we see how God is showing us that refreshing comes because of FELLOWSHIP with HIM!
“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11: 28 – 30 NLT.
Many people set themselves New Year’s resolutions which are meant to inspire change in their lives and bring about good habits. For most, this self-effort is fruitless and often goes nowhere…
“You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail” Proverbs 19:21 NLT.
This year we encourage you to adopt New Year’ REVOLUTIONS. The Bible uses a better word for revolution which is REPENTANCE. Repentance means to have a “change of heart and mind”.
“In repentance and rest is your salvation…” Isaiah 30:15a NLT.
It is time to repent of those behaviours and lifestyles that will keep you OUT OF FELLOWSHIP with the LORD! Commit your lives to God. Ask Him to change you from the inside out so that you may be more and more in love with Jesus daily. If you are already in fellowship with the Lord – praise God – may you grow in Christ even more during 2017!
Also consider: John 15:10 – 12  ●  John 17  ●  1 John 2: 5 – 7.
Let us, therefore, apply our hearts to repentance, and direct our eyes to the Son of God ~ Philip Melanchthon
Remember the more we fellowship with God – the more powerful our witness will become! If ever we need a powerful witness – it is now – because with each new day the world becomes darker place. May you shine in the presence of Jehovah God in this new season of 2017!
“The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day”
Proverbs 4:18 NLT.
