“I baptize with water those who repent of their sins and turn to God. The Holy Spirit – a sign of Good Faith Toward those who Believe” Matthew 3:11 NLT.
Baptise is defined as Baptizo in Greek – it means to fully immerse or submerge.
When Jesus ascended to heaven He fully intended for us to be immersed with His equipping power (Acts 1:8). Jesus never stranded us or forgot us (John 14:15 – 18). The day of Pentecost was the realisation of many prophesies over hundreds of years (Jeremiah 31:33-34, Ezekiel 36:26-27, Isaiah 44:3, Isaiah 32:15, Isaiah 59:21, Joel 2:28-29).
The day of Pentecost may have come and gone but the Lord is still pouring out His Holy Spirit and fire to those longing for God’s power in their lives. He is submerging them into the reality of His Kingdom. Many in the world settle for a “virtual reality” of this life. They immerse themselves in entertainment and self-gratification.
This will never fulfil you. Only God’s Holy Fire can stir within you the original purpose and intent of God for your life.
John 1 tells us that to all who believed and received the Lord… He gave them the power to become the sons of God (John 1:12).
If we are to become what God Has intended for us to be – the Bride of Christ & sons of God – we are will need heaven’s touch over our lives to transform us.
We are not talking about magic – we are talking about something that is not from this world – it is supernatural. We need the person of the HOLY SPIRIT who is part of the Godhead himself. He is the fire of God sent to us from the throne room of God. It is a gift for all who believe – and all who want to be transformed into God’s sons.
The Holy Spirit is a sign to the Bride of Christ after Jesus ascended to heaven. It is like an engagement ring offered from Jesus to the Bride, His Church. It is a sign of intention and purpose (2 Corinthians 1:21 – 22, Ephesians 1:12 – 14).
Some do not want the Holy Spirit because they do not want to be transformed into God’s son’s or they are frightened of the enormous impact the Holy Spirit will have on their lives and the lives of those in their various communities.
However, for those willing to trust the Holy Spirit – you will see how receiving the fire and overflow of the Holy Spirit will change your life forever.
Today you can ask our King and our High Priest – Jesus Christ to Baptise you with Fire of the Holy Spirit, by Faith (Luke 11:13, Proverbs 1:23). You cannot buy this gift from God (Acts 8:19 – 21). Like your salvation from sin and death – the Holy Spirit is given to us as a gift – we must be willing to receive Him by faith.
Wait on the Lord (Acts 1: 4 – 5) and ask Him to fill you (John 16:24) BUT be prepared for something remarkable to change your life forever.
